The cry of an unborn girl

Don’t stamp out me, O!! Mother
For I shall be the best sister to my brother
wouldn’t you accept me if I were a son?
Just because I am a daughter, will you shun?

You deny me before He drew the lines on my palms?
Oh father! Give me this life, as your alms
Grand ma? How could you betray another woman
You want to kill your little baby when its life has just begun?

I shall give you all the happiness and joy
Bring you the honor and pride more than a boy!
I want to be your little princess, dear father
When you turn old, I shall take care as your mother

Chant all day, worship Goddesses with sweets, gold and pearl
Now you’re ready to commit a sin by killing this blessed girl?
I plead not to build me my tomb
Even before I emerge from my mother’s womb!

College days

Signing off those good old days with a heavy heart,
Friends, college, fun everything ripped apart
I miss them to the core for its no more
But those smiles, laughs and joys I always adore

Those four years, slipped away in the blink of an eye
Now, the best days of my life is just a memory
Each day there, I learnt something new
For the more I learnt, there was a lot more to learn, I knew

Bunking classes, asking for attendance and running late
Though I write a 100 poems, a lot more to enunciate
Combined studies, projects, assignments at the eleventh hour
Yet, a step at a time, winning in every endeavor

Sometimes it was maddening, we were whipped too
We lived. We survived. Believe me the story is true
I am grateful to all those who made my college life complete
Blessed with wonderful friends for life and that’s the best treat!

She

Even when every step she takes goes wrong
Her smile outweighs her pain, decides to remain strong
She has no pride in dress or decoration
For she knows her beauty is reflected in her soul

She takes a stand, steps up for the right
But sometimes it goes into a woeful plight
Erases all the untruths and evils from her heart
She is patient even when everything is falling apart

Sometimes her heart wanders wailing with the wind
The battle, sufferings wafts into her soul
All the doors of hope & happiness remain closed
Yet, she pulls herself together leaving the grief behind

She is a mother, a wife, a friend; the glory of creation
Yes. She is a WOMAN.

Mountains

Strong and sturdy, standing so tall
Rising to towering height
Sparrows and owls giving chirping call
Seething their songs with might

Heavy rain strikes its skin
Skinning away its ebony soil
Kissed by the veins of icy water
Kisses the drifting clouds above

Sitting on the mountains, by warm hearth
Your feet on fern, you feel the earth around
Crowns covered with pristine snow
And blue rivers running below

The scent of cold wind brushes your skin
This earth is now your kin
You want to stay there all, till the end
Playing to the symphony the nature sends

Her Divine love

She doesn't know why
All she could, is heave a sigh
May be she has to wait for one more life
To love her love as his wife

Weeping in a dark corner where none could see
Kissed by pains and tears
And she now hopes
A shaft of new hope, kiss her toes

Her heart aches making a cacophony
Knuckling under the symphony of fate
Slowly her heart is getting an armor
And pains can break her no more

Often love is sublime when incomplete
Pure, elegant and neat
And when it reaches eternity
It's no less than true Divine

The tree

I am the tree, the soul of the forest green
Without me, there's no life, I ween!

My trunk furnishes your home with furniture
And my barks, a home for birds and creatures
My roots lie deep into the earth
And the green creepers decorate my girth

I stand by the summer's burning heat and winter's sleet
And offer you a cold recede
I catch the rain droplets, take the Sun's heat
Offer you with nuts and fruits to eat

In autumn, my golden gown starts to wither
Wait for the spring to cover me again, in shiver and somber,
My leaves form a brown bed, up and down the street
Whispering and rustling under your feet

You stop and lay in my shaded grassy ground
The breeze lifts you up, a soothing sound
The beam of my beauty reaching the azure sky
A shelter under me and heaven is nigh!

So, look at me, before you hurt me and raise your weapon
Cos, I am the handle of your own coffin
I am the tree, the soul of the forest green
Without me, there's no life, I ween!

Alone in an island

If I were to be alone, only me
Let me be by the serene pacific sea
Let me live on those cliffs and the beach
Where the Sun and stars seem within my reach

Where the caresses of the waters plays over my tranquility
The whispers of the breeze comforting me
A home in an island with no foes
And the small fishes with love, kiss my toes

Where the waters crash the white smooth sand
And the emerald hills lay beyond the land
The seagulls, urchins, quill fishes and the winds
Listening to the peaceful song the island sends!

Living by the sea among nature, life just seems so right
Among the lighthouses, green and the blue, life is simply a delight!

I miss you, friend

I feel like ages since I have met you all
I do nothing rather stare at a wall
I miss our silly fights and stupid talks
They make me cry, they make me laugh

Those beautiful moments of life we shared
The way in which we cared
I long for those days of pure fun and bliss
The more I remember the more I miss

I crave for those times back in life
Because without you, I can no more suffice
A strange hollowness in my life, it has turned so void
Were those my last days I really enjoyed?

I say, I am blessed to have a friend like you
Whose friendship is kind, gentle, pure and so true!
If someone asks me the best two I knew
Without a clue I would just say you!

Within my book of memories your page, I cannot turn
Because those are the days I always yearn
I realize, you stay a thousand miles apart
But you always remain as a true friend in my heart!

For once

For once, I wanna move way from worldly world
Where I could wake up with chirp of birds
For once, I never want early smoking tea
Instead I want blue sky shelter me

Where there's Symphony of birds & rattle of leaves
My soul uplifts, with every passing breeze
Amidst the shadow of thick foliage green
Elegant flowers with sweetest odor sheen

Where I could feel early morning rays of hope
With the beauty of nature, I would just elope
Where I lay on nature's green carpet, a treasure
Giving its small folk, utmost pleasure

Where I could sleep under countless shimmering stars
Peacefully with no clock warning me every hour
And cold wind braces me up and casts its spell
For once, only with Mother Earth, I wish to dwell

I shall bide

I stare at the blank wall, I see us
I try not, tears run down a gush
Memories haunt me all day and night
Though I try to forget with all my might

Never knew those dreams were just a castle in the air
Now they seem so meaningless and bare
Were those promises an empty words?
Even you the one among this world?

Those smiles and laughs we shared
Were they for a while? An empty charade?
You held my hand & walked with me
Now I turn around, none I can see

You left this heart a hard stone
May be I am a stranger with a face known
For now, I shall walk all alone
But I bide, till He takes me His home!

The ghost in her

A deep dark hole
Carved through her granite soul
Fear of fears binding her, Fie!
An illusion which none can see

None knows what flows through her veins
A smile full of vain
An empty soul howling through darkness
Stands guard over her emptiness

Ghost of unknown fear haunting her flesh
Circles & whirls around, leaving her in mesh
Tries hard to get back her lost life and name
But the daemon is no lame

Her heavy heart always said "Why me?"
Ghost inside her always knocked
Only 'cause she had it hard locked
And had thrown away the key!

When I look inside you

When I look inside you
There's a joy of pain that burns inside you
So much of untold silent love for me
Every blood full of trust, care which none can see!

Grief, tears, agony is what none can find
A beautiful lively soul I abide
Your heart, a temple of divine I glorify each day
Always a guiding light no matter come what may

An unsaid great story blazing inside
Yet you show the world having a fun ride
Spirit, kindness, care & love sublime
Profound love that grows on sands of time

When I look in you I see;
A mirror, a perfect reflection of inner me!

Puzzle!

Bits of pieces scattered all over
Trying hard to put them together
Journey, goals and life a battle
To fill those empty places of a big puzzle

Not all time do pieces fit
Never mind, sometimes you have to forget it
Because you can't fit where you don't belong
Else the whole puzzle will go wrong

Every thy problem is a puzzle piece
Hard to set right while some at ease
You use pieces & lose some too
Life both sturdy or sad and blue

Notches, several bonds of life
You have to build sometimes with strife
Stop the quest for the best not in detest
Only to complete the puzzle, a requisite!

After all, life is a pristine & beautiful puzzle
And to fit everything right is a challenge!

You my ink

You have been my first love since I know
You be with me, wherever I go
When my lips can't speak, you do
Every passing day, the more I grow in you!

You heal my wounds inflicted by a reason
Keeping me so happy for all seasons!
Share with you more than smiles & laughs
Giving me wings to my unrefined thoughts!

More than any friend, amicable & true
Senseless thoughts, my tears, ails I etch in you
Crazy fantasies, frivolous dreams not a few;
'Cause I breath-in an experience & breath-out you!

My mirror, a perfect reflection of me
To unlock the inner me, you are the key
Let this divine love forever be
You are an architect of my life, who completes me!

Memories!

As my feet walked on the green grass
Whisper of the cold breeze caressed my skin
My mind, rattled
Rattled with those scattered memories
I was bent, for they haunted me again

Tears, smiles, joys, laughs
I gazed through them,
Some sweet, some bitter, some plain
Some bought me smiles when in pain
Some laughs, when I wasn't able to smile
No, they weren't worldly, nor secular
I gathered them all & kept it safe
For they were elegant, splendor!

Memories! a sacred place to visit,
Rather than stay
People, friends everything has a change
Memories? Neither fade nor die!

Today's harvest becomes tomorrow's memory,
I thought
A seed or a weed?
My choice, I said to myself
Walking down the lane!

Save our Mother Earth!

Dear mankind, long before your birth
Alluring was the beauty of Mother earth
Now you are polluting her, letting her die
She's in grief, in agony, can't you hear her cry?

Desertification, contamination say no to this play
The change needs to start since TODAY
You need to thank her with gratitude
But, Killing your own mother? How can you be so cruel & rude?

Waste, smog, pollution & the smoke
Wake up folk, this is no more a bare joke
Stop trashing wastes, chemicals & non-bio into rivers
Cease killing forests for resorts, stop being more sinners!

Save energy, turn off the lights when no need
Satisfy your needs but not your greed
Try to plant a seed on your every birthday
Its only you who will enjoy fresh air & a happy stay!

Avoid the emission of carbon-di-oxide, CFC
To reduce ozone depletion you see
Say NO to the use of non-degradable plastics
Put on your hands to make earth organic!

Plant more sampling encourage afforestation
Bring an end to Deforestation, contamination
Drive less, use public conveyance & walk more
A kind deed to help beauty of the earth restore!

After all, earth is our only home
Stand up! Save her before she turns into a tombstone
Realize, earth can live without humans
But humans living without earth, is only an illusion!

I, me, myself!

I am that girl with a million insane dreams
With agony, my heart gives a loud scream
A crazy girl who jumps on nature green & rain
Finds a  great joy in blood & every vein!

One who tries, tries my best to stay strong
Even when every single thing is going wrong
With no care, sometimes I stay over cool
But at times I turn into an emotional fool

Many a times, the one who easily gets hurt
Sometimes, I seek no strength I keep inert
One who finds happiness in every little thing
The sunrise, sunset Oh! what a joy it brings!

One who hates lies, cheat & deceit
Loyalty, love & respect, the only I greet
Never jump on wealth, power or money
Instead love, friends & something that's funny!

One who forgives but never forgets
Yell when angry and then regret
For I know, I am no perfect
But people who love me, they always accept!

No matter what people speak, I love myself
Cos, I am always me, myself!

I wish to live where..

I wish to live, by mountains —near the river
Murmuring lowly, feeling the utmost pleasure
Where I could breathe the scent of cold fresh air
Stretch my arms & dance happily, with no care

Where the sun smiles through canopy
As I lie down on green carpet in harmony
Watch the calm serene waves by my door
Mountains, sea & the legend beauty I adore

Where the evening cold breeze lifts my soul
Water kisses the land, a beautiful shore
Watch the foggy clouds through window pane
I stretch out & feel every drop of rain

At night, watch the moon coming up the sky
Count the shimmering stars as they raise high
Fall asleep under the green dark silhouette of trees
Each day, tweet of the birds would wake me

I wish to dance merrily under moonlight night
Where clouds break forth every stream of light
Dance & listen to genuine music of nature
No other great joy, being with Creator!

I wish one day, I move to such heaven
Away from this worldly world, my pains lessen
Divine beauty of nature always mesmerize me
I wish to live in Her, I wanna flee!

Be yourself!

Why to walk in someone else's shoes
And lead a life of two's of no use?
Why do you hide your best self with a mask?
Only because fools speak behind your back?

Be the best of best who you always wanna be
Not the one who people wanna see!
For every human is perfectly imperfect
Let it be if none accepts your architect

Life is yours it belongs to none but you
Why to walk in a path that doesn't belong to you?
Be comfortable & the best in your own skin
The most beautiful thing that lies within

Why to hide yourself in a closet shelf
Be true to yourself & let the mask expel
One who truely loves you, never see your scars
Instead they love you for what you are!

You own something precious that others don't
Its no better to walk in a crowd when you can alone
Why to fool yourself and walk around
When you are already profound?

Whatever you do, people have something to say
Never care, why do you weigh?
Its your life, be the best each single day
No matter come what may!

Isn't it foolish to follow a nerdy herd
When you can open up your wings as a free bird?
So, sing loud & let your soul sing
Be yourself & let the false face fling!

Why-O-Why?

Why life, why do you play with me
Am I the only target? Why only me?
Without any ups are there only downs?
Only with failures & pains am I crowned?

Life has turned into a sad fairy tale
With pains, I am prisoned in a dark jail
My throat parches, my screams go dry
I push them hard, so none can hear my cry!

I pray, I plead but I hear no voice
My every move is from a bad dice
Bound in a cage of fearful fears
will I break this & make life a cheer?

I am no more a clay, instead a numb stone
Happiness & joy do I ever own?
Every move has become silly, a child's play
Woes & pains never stay at bay?

I wasn't that girl who gave up anything
But now, something says I am nothing!
Though I ask, I pray
For every task, have I become a prey?

Why? Why every step is going so wrong
Is it to such a world I belong??
